Good News! Retiree Medical benefits are switching from Kaiser Permanente to the Statewide School District Plan with Blue Cross of Idaho effective September 1, 2020.
We will have two medical plans available for retirees not yet eligible for Medicare, the Preferred Blue PPO Driver and Preferred Blue PPO Buy Down plans. Prescription and vision coverage are included in both plan offerings with no additional charge. There will also be a Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plan offering for Medicare Eligible retirees.
The district will continue to offer Delta Dental and Blue Cross Dental Blue Connect (Willamette) coverage to retirees. There will be a slight change in premium costs for the 2020/2021 school year; plan coverage and benefits will remain the same.
